he information on this web site is intended for wholesale customers who are bona fide re-sellers of gift items. To acquire BookBoxes™ at wholesale prices you will be asked to provide proof of involvement in the gift industry.

Returns
Anything may be returned within 30 days of receipt for full refund (net of shipping costs and 10% restocking fee). The entire order must be returned and be in its original condition.

We require notification of returns before they are shipped. All returns must be shipped by US mail rather than through a courier company. The BookBox™Company will not be responsible for return brokerage fees charged by courier companies.

Additional terms of sale are detailed on price lists available on request to approved customers..


Shipping
 

Shipping
Most orders leave our studio within 72 hours of receipt. Orders for products that are out of stock may be delayed by as much as four weeks.

All shipments are sent by courier using ground services. Shipments within Canada and to the US border are handled by either Canpar Transport or DHL. All shipments within the US are handled by UPS or FedEx (in partnership with Canpar).

Shipment by postal service or other courier companies can be arranged on request but will incur an additional handling charge.

Three day air service is available through DHL.

Overnight delivery services are not available from our studio because of its location on Vancouver Island.

Delivery time
Shipping times vary considerably with distance.

As a rule of thumb, shipments to west coast destinations typically require 5 business days from date of shipping.

Shipments to the mid west generally require 5 to 8 business days.


Shipments to the eastern seaboard typically require 10 business days from date of shipping.

Shipping Costs
BookBoxes are not particularly heavy. A 'Medium' weighs approximately 1.25 lbs. The average Standard-Assortment (of 20 pieces) weights 28 pounds.

Shipping costs for a Standard-Assortment, ranges from;

$10 to $13US for destinations on the West coast

$13 to $17US for destinations in the mid West and

$17 to $20US for locations on the eastern seaboard.

The shipping costs for a single case of the Standard-Assortment therefore ranges from 5% to 10% of purchase price, depending on location.

Shipping costs (as a percentage of total cost) are lower for larger orders.



Quality Assurance
 

Every BookBox™ is inspected before it leaves our studio. Every effort is made to ensure consistency and quality in each BookBox™ produced.

But mistakes still happen and damage can occur in transit. If you should find damaged product in a shipment, please let us know immediately. The damaged product will either be replaced or a credit given on your next order. If the damage occurred in transit we would appreciate your help to make a claim with the courier company.

When judging the product you receive please keep in mind that BookBoxes™ really are the product of recycling. In the past, customers have called to report in horror that there were old price tags in the BookBoxes™ they had received, or that there were other signs of use, such as a signature inside the book. These customers knew that BookBoxes™ are the product of recycling but apparently did not understand the implications.

If you are unable to live with the variations and imperfections associated with truly used books, please consider ordering from our PREMIUM product line which offers products that are not 'new' (some of the raw books are 25 years old) but at least they look new.
